The most powerful short-wave ultraviolet light available! The UltraLight 5100 S is the Rolls-Royce of short-wave UV light! The UltraLight 5100 S uses two custom high output PL-13 Watt 254 nm mercury vapor light tubes for normal operation and optimal performance with two 13 Watt ballasts. Not a overdriven PL-9 watt in a 13 Watt ballast. A 9w tube in a 13w ballast will burn out faster and requires a cooling fan using more power for a little more output; but in no way brighter than a 13w tube in a 13w ballast for optimal performance. Our cool light requires no fan, saves power for more UV output!
The UltraLight 5100 S uses 2 "H" shaped quartz light tubes. Technologically superior shape to the common "U" shaped tubes, for a more even distribution of the ionized mercury plasma. This gives double the arc length of typical straight lamp.
The special grade quartz tubing used transmits more ultraviolet than commercial quartz tubing used in other lamps.
The high-intensity SW-UV light this unit produces makes it possible to use it in situations where ambient light is usually too bright for UV examinations!

or exploration our GIANT 46.25 sq.in. Double Polished Optical Filter produces a 20% brighter more focused ultraviolet
light than cast grade filters! The UltraLight 5100S has the brightest clearest ultraviolet
transmission available!
Switch to a 75W inverter for 12VDC operation for field exploration. The 5100 S easily detaches from the base making it an excellent ultraviolet searchlights for rock hounds.
Attached to its base it provides an excellent work light for excavating your favorite rock site, allowing you to position the light on your work area giving you the freedom of both hands for digging and shoveling. Back at home it easily provide a bright short-wave light source for examination, display or photography! A optional wire filter guard that offers minimal UV obstruction for maximum protection!
